Profil D-PK double section ribbed belts
Description
The D-PK double-sided V-ribbed belt is a special type of drive belt used for drives where both sides of the belt are in contact with the pulleys and power transmission in both directions is required.
This type of belt is used in systems known as serpentine drives, where the shafts rotate in opposite directions. They are primarily used in automobiles (e.g., to drive engine accessories such as generators, air conditioning compressors, and servo pumps) and in industrial machinery where a complex multi-axis drive system is required. It enables the realization of compact and efficient drive systems where multiple components must be driven with a single belt, even in opposite directions of rotation. They are often made of EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber), which offers good abrasion resistance, heat resistance, and flexibility. The designation "DPK" refers to the double-sided V-ribbed belt with the "PK" profile. The numbers that often appear after the marking (e.g., 6DPK1841) indicate the number of ribs (e.g., 6 ribs) and the belt length (e.g., 1841 mm).
