Description
End caps are crucial in protecting the bearings against dirt and moisture, and they also serve to secure the bearing. It ensures a firm fixation of the bearing, guaranteeing proper fit and load distribution. The end cap material must be compatible with the operating environment and bearing material. Common materials are steel, stainless steel and various plastics. The seal used at the end can be a rubber seal, a felt seal or a labyrinth seal.
