Flat belt pulleys for taper bushings
General information
Flat belt pulleys can be used for all types of flat belts. Flat belt pulleys are available in two different designs. Traditionally, flangeless versions are used. These flat belt pulleys have a convex surface, so-called barrel design. This design is necessary so that the flat belt does not "climb" to the side and does not fall off the pulley during rotation. In certain applications, flanged flat belt pulleys are used. The flanges on both sides of the pulley prevent the flat belt from falling off the pulley. Flanged flat belt pulleys generally have a cylindrical surface. Flat belt pulleys can be made without a hole, with a base hole, or with a conical clamping design. A taper bushing is required to secure the clamped pulleys to the shaft. Without a taper bushing, the pulley cannot be mounted on the shaft. The taper bush is not an accessory for the clamping disc and must be purchased separately. The taper bushings are available in the tensioning elements group of the keilriemen.at webshop. The type of taper bushing specified in the pulley part number and size must be selected for the pulley with the appropriate hole for the shaft size to be used.
